Kira Yamato

While Murrue Ramius is the captain of the Archangel, Kira has emerged as the co-leader of the newly formed Terminal orgainization complementing Lacus. He now speaks with the savvy of a seasoned veteran. Even though he doesn't always know what the best course of action is, it doesn't deter him from doing what he believes is right.

While Kira is one of the brightest in the world and very perceptive of events surrounding him, he is not exactly a military or military-oriented mind. What he lacks in strategic prowess he will attempt to compensate for it with other superior attributes.

Kira finds constant, undying support and loyalty from Lacus and the crew of the Archangel. He cherishes the experience of the crew and has earned their trust. He is still guilty of trying to do everything himself but when he realizes he needs help, he does not hesitate to ask for it. Even though he still holds reservations on killing, friends and enemies a like respect him and fear his abilities.

Background: After the war, Kira and Lacus defect to ORB, living with the Orphanage and Malchio. After protecting Lacus from an assassination attempt, Kira and the old Archangel crew launches in order to take Cagalli away from the clutches of Yuuna.

Personality: Kira has become much more quiet in Destiny, with less than 10 words per appearance. He seems to be very solemn and depressed about something.

Talents: Kira re-enters the cockpit of Freedom to pilot a mobile suit once again. Still as good as a pilot as always, Kira easily lays waste to ZAFT's Ashes and ORB's Murasame units.

Background:Freedom in Destiny is just the same as before, except Kira seems a lot more experienced and uses it exceptionally well, even if it is 2 years overdue. He still sports the same armaments with no significant changes.

ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom

Background: A new Gundam created by Lacus Clyne specifically for her lover, Kira Yamato. It was heavily based on the ZGMF-X10A Freedom with significant changes made to arms, head, and wings. On the head of Strike Freedom states "Libera Modifica" meaning Liberty Modificaiton. Strike Freedom also sports a sort of Beam Shield emitter, able to block Beam and Ballistic weapons alike. The new Freedom also sports 8 Super DRAGOON units from it's wings. The "Strike" in it's name pays homage to Kira's first Gundam, the GAT-X105 Strike.
